Join us at the Blue Heron Inn for an exceptional evening of cooking instruction, dining, and wine. This popular event is sold out each time.
Bryan Hinschberger, General Manager of The Cellar, a fine dining restaurant in Idaho Falls, will provide the instruction and you'll do the preparation for a delicious gourmet dinner.
The perfect wines for each dinner course will selected by Bryan who is not only a chef but also a Certified Sommelier. He and Cellar Owner, Scott Hinschberger, will provide interesting information about each of the chosen wines. The Cellar is the only restaurant in eastern Idaho to win Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence two years running
Don't worry about a designated driver, as the weekend includes an overnight stay at the Blue Heron along with a champagne brunch the next morning.
Cooking class and dinner - $50.00 per person. Wine - $50.00 per person.
Lodging rate will depend on which beautiful room you choose. Brunch on Sunday is included in the room rate.

Retreat 3:00-4:00pm Arrive, get settled in your room, and become familiar with the inn.
4:00 - ?pm Meet the other guests and begin dinner preparations under the tutelage of the Chef. Learn about the types of cuisine chosen for dinner. Sip great wines selected to match each dinner course. Take notes as there will be lots of great information. Enjoy the fruits of your labor as the group sits down in the Inn's cozy dining room to sample their specially prepared courses.
Chef Bryan will lead the kitchen activities, preparing and teaching those who want to help out, and The Cellar owner, Scott Hinschberger will be pouring and describing the wines.
Relax Relax after dinner in front of the Inn's floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, enjoy a challenging game of pool, or select a good book from the library.
Indulge Cap off your evening with a soak in the outdoor hot tub or in your own personal jetted tub.
